Ok, I'm sending this again, cause it didn't seem to post. Hmm.... still trying to figure out how the forum works...

 

So, Jillann, here is my question. I've been using my S-Corp (which I established many years ago) as the business behind my film. But in your tutorial, you suggest to open an LLC for liability protection. But given that I"ve been using my biz lately exclusively for my current doc, plus the fact that it has very little assets, wouldn't I be ok? Or would my personal assets be at risk in case of liability?

Hi Sylvie! You should be okay with your S-Corp, and probably don't need to set up an LLC. You might want to get the opinion of a lawyer or accountant just to be sure.
